Called to the Bar in 1980, Robert Dinan joined the firm in 2003 after having practised with other firms in the Quebec area and after having acted as substitute to the attorney general of Canada.

Me Dinan practices business and commercial law, mainly for businesses, religious congregations and community organisations.

Robert Dinan acts as consultant regarding contracts and legal business structures. He also practices in the field of intellectual property, licensing and distribution agreements.

Bilingual, Me Dinan serves his clients in French and English.


Me Dinan has served as director of various institutions such as the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and the Quebec Garrison Club. He was also Ombudsman of Quebec City from February 2011 until April 11, 2013.

He has served as Chairman of the Jeffrey-Hale Hospital from 1996 to 2007 and of Saint-Brigid’s Home from 2002 to 2007, as well as having been Vice-president of Voice of English Speaking Quebec from 1996 to 1998.

Nominated to the title of Queen’s Counsel in 1992, Robert Dinan has served, by governmental appointment, as Chairman of Telefilm Canda from 1993 to 1998 and as board member of the Canadian Television Fund.

He has also served as president of the Quebec Arbitration Council from 1986 to 1988 and as lecturer at the École de formation professionnelle du Barreau du Québec (Bar School), from 1996 to 1998 and again, since 2010 where he teaches Buisness law, Contract Law and International Arbitration.
