1. Object
We protect the personal information that is shared with us.

2. Types of Personal Information Collected
The personal information collected may include, inter alia, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, residential or business addresses, dates of birth, financial information, identity documents and their contents, as well as information related to the execution of a legal mandate or administrative or other operations resulting therefrom.

3. Consent
By transmitting your personal information by any means, either by you or through a person authorized or deemed authorized to do so for you, consent is obtained.

4. Purposes
Personal information is collected and processed, inter alia, in order to provide legal services and carry out operations that are ancillary to them or that result from them, to verify identities, to prevent illegalities, to protect the interests of clients, to protect the integrity of transactions and other acts performed in the course of rendering and managing the services and operations, as well as to comply with legal and ethical obligations (« Purposes »).

5. Conservation
We retain personal information as long as necessary for the Purposes and in accordance with legal and ethical obligations.

6. Sharing and Transfer
In our professional practice, personal information may be communicated to third parties, including IT service providers, when required for the management of mandates and ancillary services, to experts, courts, parties to a dispute or to a contractual or pre-contractual relationship or to their advisors or representatives. They may also be disclosed when required by law.

7. Security
We take proportionate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized destruction, loss, access, disclosure or modification.

8. Profiling and automated decisions
We do not do any profiling or use automated decisions.

10. Right
Upon written request, but subject to applicable law, you may obtain access to your personal information, request rectification, withdraw your consent, or request a limitation of use or deletion, where applicable and without impeding the Purposes.

We are bound to professional secrecy. The ethical and legal obligations relating to professional secrecy are in addition to this policy and, where applicable, prevail.

12. Complaints
In the event of an unresolved dispute regarding the processing of personal information, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec: www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
